FAQ

Who should enroll?

K-12 Students with any academic background are welcome to enroll at 4D Learning Center.

We have many advanced students enrolled at the program. (For example, some of the 3rd~4th graders are now learning pre-Algebra, and some 4th~6th graders are learning Algebra. Their top academic performances at 4D Learning Center have made them top performers at their schools. Some of these students practice math competition problems at 4D Learning Center as well.

At the same time, we also have some enrolled students working on catching up their school work because they lag behind at school. Some of these students, having spent some time studying at 4D Learning Center, have made significant progress academically at school.

4D Learning Center welcome students with learning disabilities as well. We have experience in working with these students and we have very good results in helping them to achieve their academic goals.

How many subjects does 4D Learning Center offer?

4D Learning Center offers multiple subjects - math, reading, writing, and science to all K-12 students, along with special workshops on math competitions (such as MathCounts and AMC).

How many types of service do you offer?

We offer two types of services:
* Semi-Private Tutoring (Monthly subscription program);
* Private Tutoring (Hourly Sessions)

What is the Semi-Private Tutoring (Monthly subscription program) and how much does it cost?

Most 4D Students are enrolled into the Semi-Private Tutoring (Monthly subscription program). This is the most affordable and efficient way for the students to enjoy all of the benefits the 4D programs provide while paying a very low monthly tuition. This program is extremely affordable -- the rate is much lower than the typical rate you would pay to a private tutor's hourly rate. For more information, please call (401) 402-04DL (i.e. (401) 402-0435) to learn more.

What is the Private Tutoring (Hourly Sessions) Program and how much does it cost?

Some 4D Students are enrolled into the 4D Private Tutoring program. The hours are flexible, and the tutor can provide the tutoring service either at the student's home or at a public place such as library, or even in a private room at the 4D Learning Center. The price for the tutoring service is very competitive. For more information, please call (401) 402-04DL (i.e. (401) 402-0435) to learn more.

What other services do 4D programs provide and how much does each workshop cost?

4D Instructors often provide some special training for some of its students, depending on the need. For example, we often provide some trainings on MathCounts/AMC8 and Advanced Word Problem Solving for 4~8th graders. This type of services are free to all 4D students, and we do not accept non-4D students.

I heard that students trained by 4D are academically strong. Is that true?

Yes. 4D's goal is to train students to improve their academic skills. That's what has made 4D a successful program, and many families love 4D.

Many students enrolled at 4D because they want to take challenge. Some of the students do consider 4D as their primary schools where they could learn more. For these students, 4D is the perfect program for them because sky is the limit.

At 4D, instructors often challenge students by introducing advanced materials (inlcuding, but not limited to Math Olympyad/MathCounts/AMC type of problems). We want to train our students to think differently and to build solid foundation that could advance them to the next level.

Over the years, 4D has trained many students who have become top students in their classes/schools. Some of the 4D students have become valedictorians or salutatorians of their classes. Some students have competed and won at various school/State/national competitions.  So far, 4D students have won multiple awards, inlcuding, but not limited to the following:
* Spelling Bees (School winners)
* Geography Bees (School winners)
* Scholastic Arts and Writing (School/State winners)
* MathCounts (School/State winners, including multiple State winners, one 1st place State winner)
* AMC 8 (School/State winners, including multiple 1st place State winners)
* AMC 10 (School/State winners, including multiple 1st place State winners)
* AIME (qualifiers, among the very few in the State)
* RIML (School/State winners; RIML stands for Rhode Island Math League; for high school students)
* ARML (several students become members of RI State ARML Team; ARML stands for American Regions Math League; for high school students)
