WHY 4D

Why 4D Learning Center

4D Learning Center is built on the fundamental belief that all students can achieve academic success because we teach the students how to learn. The proper learning process is broken down into by two components: learning by understanding the concepts (through instructions) and learning by solving problems independently (through practices). Following this principle, 4D Learning Center provides both education services and plenty of homework assignments to students practices to make sure that students will understand the concepts and master these concepts through practice independently.

Having More Choices at 4D

We offer more than one way for 4D students to show what they know and understand. 4D students benefit greatly from having more choices in the 4D materials they use and the 4D assignment they complete. We allow students to delve deeper into various subjects. We offer seperal sets of materials: It is common for some advanced students working on a more difficult materials than their peers. We ask deeper questions: we always encourage our students to think more (from the factual to the conceptual). We push students to make connections.

Having Options to Work Together at 4D

For some students, working with peers is critical. We help students to break social and emotional difficulties by allowing them to learn with intellectual peers. Some 4D students prefer to work together in areas where they need the stimulation of intellectual peers.

Accommodating Pace at 4D

Accelerated learning has always be part of 4D for advanced 4D students. Acceleration includes a broad spectrum of options—from assigning more challenging materials or teaching them advanced concepts to forming and coordinating a cluster group of high-ability students with an instructor. While it is common for advanced students to acquire new concepts and knowledge quickly, the rest of the students may need more time to synthesize new information. We respond to this quicker pace of learning by providing advanced students with more challenging and engaging activities. Strategies such as compacting, independent study, and even creative thinking activities enable above-grade students to learn at an appropriate pace for them.

Goal Setting at 4D

We encourage all 4D students to set their own personal learning goals. All students need experience in setting goals for themselves. Research demonstrates that setting goals has a powerful effect on student confidence and achievement. We help 4D students to develop the skill to break long-term goals down into smaller, short-term goals that are within their reach. When students set smaller goals that lead to a larger achievement they care about, we will see that they can focus their energy and ability and they can measure their progress in a tangible way.

Teaching Creatively at 4D

At 4D, we are training students so that they become can learn to think outside the box. Very often, we train 4D students alternative ways to process new concepts and information. At 4D, creativity is a way of thinking and an attitude.

Independent Learning at 4D

At 4D, we also encourage students to study independently and permit them to inquire about a topic more deeply. We strongly believe that independent learning only works when students have opportunities to practice and develop the skills they need. Independent learning options often help students develop several important skills, and help them to become more self-aware as a learner and better able to build on personal strengths and aptitudes.

Following Students Interests at 4D

We always give our students a chance to explore their interests. We follow their curiosity - we believe that student engagement propels authentic learning experiences. At 4D, we play a critical role not only in encouraging student interests and linking them to the units we have planned but also in helping them to discover new interests.

More at 4D

While other commerical learning systems are very expensive, 4D Learning Center sticks to its mission of serving local communities by providing high quality educational services without significant overhead.

And, the most important thing is: our students LOVE the program! You will be amazed to see many students coming to the 4D Learning Center with a big smiles on their faces, and they all work on their 4D homework happily.
